GTA 6 Weapons and Gunplay: A Realistic Approach
GTA 6 weapons and gunplay mechanics are reportedly undergoing a massive overhaul. Moving away from the arcade-style "magic pockets" of previous games, Rockstar is seemingly taking cues from Red Dead Redemption 2 to deliver a more tactical, realistic, and weighty combat experience in the State of Leonida.
The Limited Inventory System
Leaks suggest that Jason and Lucia will no longer be able to carry an entire arsenal of rocket launchers, miniguns, and assault rifles simultaneously. Instead, GTA 6 is rumored to feature a limited inventory system. Players will only be able to carry a couple of long guns (slung over their shoulders) and sidearms. The trunk of your personal vehicle will act as your mobile armory, forcing players to plan their loadouts before engaging in a heist or shootout.
Dual Wielding and Animations
Another highly anticipated feature is the return of dual-wielding, allowing players to fire two sidearms simultaneously. Combined with new, ultra-realistic animations, combat will feel more visceral. Characters are expected to react dynamically to being shot, and taking cover will be more crucial than ever.
Weapon Customization
Customization is also getting an upgrade. Beyond simple scopes and suppressors, players might be able to heavily modify their firearms, adjusting everything from stocks to grips, directly affecting the handling and recoil of the weapon in the heat of a Vice City firefight.
